Frequently Asked Questions
How do I blur part of a screenshot?
Select the Effect tool from the toolbar, choose "Blur" or "Pixelate", then draw over the area you want to hide. You can use Rectangle, Ellipse, or Freehand mode for different selection styles.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
The free version includes the Shape tool with all shapes (rectangle, circle, star, triangle, line). Pro unlocks Blur, Pixelate, Highlighter, Text, Arrows, Freehand drawing, and Spotlight tools. You can try all Pro tools for free - Pro is required to export without a watermark.
Are my screenshots uploaded to the cloud?
No. pxCut processes everything 100% on-device. Your screenshots never leave your iPhone or iPad. We don't have servers that receive your images.
How do I restore my Pro purchase?
Open pxCut, go to Settings (gear icon), scroll to the Purchases section, and tap "Restore Purchases". Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.
Can I edit the same screenshot multiple times?
Yes! Your recent edits are saved in the app. Tap the "Recent Edits" button on the home screen to continue working on a previous project.
What export formats are supported?
pxCut supports PNG and JPEG export. You can choose your preferred format and quality level in Settings. PNG is lossless and best for screenshots with text, while JPEG produces smaller file sizes.
How do I use the Spotlight tool?
The Spotlight tool blurs everything except the area you select. Choose Spotlight from the toolbar, then draw a rectangle or ellipse around the area you want to keep clear. Everything outside your selection will be blurred.
